Doogee Announced HomTom HT6 with 6250mAh Battery

Earlier, Gionee launched the Marathon M5 with a massive 6,020mAh battery that will last up to 4 days. Gionee claims that this device gives a standby time of 62 hours with just 5% of battery life.

Now we have a new smartphone with a little larger battery than the Marathon M5; Doogee, a Chinese smartphone manufacturer, launched a new sub-brand called ‘HomTom’ specially for devices with larger capacity batteries. The same strategy what Gionee follows with its Marathon series smartphones.

The first device under this new brand is the ‘HomTom HT6‘ that comes with a whopping 6,250mAh battery. One can think about the time required to charge this massive battery. Fortunately, the device comes with MediaTek PumpExpress Plus technology that will charge the device from 0% to 75% in just 30 minutes.
Coming to the other specifications, it sports a 5.5-inch HD (1280×720) IPS display and comes powered by a MediaTek MT6735 quad-core processor. There is a 13MP rear camera with dual LED flash and a 5MP front camera.

It has an alloy chassis around the device and will be just 9.9mm thick despite of its 6,250mAh battery. The device runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box.
There are no details about the other specifications of the device, but as per the source the HomTom HT6 will be available to purchase starting from September. While the Marathon M5 is priced at 2,299 RMB (Rs.23,000), we don’t expect DooGee to price it that much higher.
